Paul Stewart Selected to Present at WBA Broadcasters Clinic 2021

MADISON, Wis. -- Summit Technology Group President, Paul Stewart, has been selected to present at the WBA Broadcasters Clinic 2021 in Madison, WI. Stewart's paper, titled 'Ready for Prime Time? The State of AI-Based Air Talent' focuses on the vast improvements made in Artificial Intelligence-based voices and their role in radio and television broadcast. The abstract is as follows, 'the year 2020 forced many stations to adopt a 'broadcast-from-home' way of life. While this may have limited content creation and audience engagement, technology has risen to the challenge. Paul Stewart discusses how natural sounding synthesized speech tools, coupled with AI-based data aggregation, are providing audiences with engaging and up-to-the-minute content. This presentation covers how radio and television stations can use this technology to reduce costs and deliver engaging and timely content to their listenership.' The presentation will be delivered to a group of Wisconsin area broadcasters Thursday, September 9th at2:15 PM at the Madison Marriott West. This convention marks the first in person Broadcasters Clinic hosted by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association since 2019. This is Stewart's second time presenting a paper at the Broadcasters Clinic.
